I though I'd make a post about the products I use the most.

I didn't include primers and foundation, because I change them almost daily, but most of these products listed here are in my everyday use.

Here we go, first one is

Illamasqua Naked Rose blusher:

Perfect shade for almost any day-look. Makes cheeks look soft, natural and healthy. Amazingly pigmented, so even if used daily, it'll last a long time, since you only need a hint of it.

As a bonus it smells really good :D

Next is my favorite brush, not sure if I could bland well without this:

Sigma Small Tapered Blending – E45

Perfect brush for blending. I also have the blending brushes from Sigma's "normal" collection, but they're not nearly as good as this one. This just has it all.

I rarely go out without eyeliner, and my favorite ones are the gel liners:

Joe Blasco eyeliner & MAC Blacktrack fluidline and Joe Blasco Ultra UEM brush:

Joe Blasco's gel liner is the blackest gel liner I've ever seen, and it's almost perfect for waterline. It's a bit greasy though, so you need to have a good primer if you're gonna use it on upper lashline.

MAC Blacktrack is also almost perfect, and as a bonus it dries on lid, unlike the Blasco one, so it can be easily used on upperlashline too. And it lasts, and lasts and lasts... :D

I got the brush I originally got with the Blasco's liner, and it instantly came my favorite eyeliner brush. It's slighly angled, and TINY. You can make both heavy lines, and also the most thinnest lines with this brush.

I know I'm known for my colorful extreme looks, but in "real life" I often use neutral colors. This summer I think I've used purple once, but otherwise just neutrals. And best neutrals are:

My favorite colors are: Beaches & Cream, Bada Bing, Purely Naked, Latte, Mocha and Cocoa Bear and Vanilla Bean as a highlighter.

I usually apply light color to lid,  darker shadow to crease, and again light color to highlight.

If I want really natural look, I use Beaches & Cream to lid and Purely Naked to crease, and if I want to get something neutral but classic, I use Beaches & Cream to lid, Bada Bing to crease, blend them with Mocha, and apply Vanilla Beam to highlight.

For perfect smokey eye I use Bada Bing on lid, blended upwards with Latte.

There's one thing I wouldn't go out without, and that's my brows.

I have really light brows, and without any color in them, I look like I wouldn't have any brows at all, so coloring them is really crucial to me. And fortunately I have a perfect solution for them:

This is the kit that came with the brow stencils, but I haven't really used them. What I use daily, is the brush and mix of both brow shadows. For me the mix of colors is perfects, and I really love the brush that came with the kit, it's sturdy and soft and you can make really thin lines with it if you want.

I have tons of posts queued, gazillion pictures ready, but the text is lacking, I just haven't found any time to write any posts, and I'm really sorry for that.

You, my readers, are the reason I'm having my blog, so I feel bad that I can't post all the time. 

I have suffered from severe depression for over ten years, and sometimes it unfortunately affects my blogging. I just can't find motivation to write, especially when there has been a long break, and I have to break the blog silence with something. I don't want the post to be too boring, but something that would be worth the wait. 

I know most of these feelings and thoughts are only inside my head, but there's where they matter to me.

I just want to apologize and ask you to bear with me.

But after this non-makeup related information, the Diablo III look.

Panda from Piece of Panda blog was going to Assembly (it's a Finnish demoscene and gaming event) and she wanted something geeky for her makeup. 

After some pondering, we decided to go with Diablo III look, inspired by this pic:

After I did this look, I got a request to do a look inspired by character from Diablo, called Magda (or Maghda, I'm not sure):

Here's my original design based on that picture:

The result was something a bit different:

I used mainly Manly 120 palette and Lime Crime eyeliners.

For every social networking site that I frequently visit Sugar Skulls are everywhere.

Tattoos, artworks, beautiful skull girls. They are really cool and fascinating to see. I've been a Sugar Skull fan since 2007. I love skulls, bones and everything associated with Halloween.

 

  Though we don't celebrate it in a big way in my country, we do have what we call as Todos Los Santos or "All Saint's Day". It's very much similar to Mexico's Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead). It's our cultural celebration for our dead ancestors.

Since Philippines is a Catholic country and is greatly inflenced by the Hispanic heritage,

those big holidays were both celebrated every November 1st. For Filipinos, All Saint's Day is all about commemorating our dead loved ones and people gather together at the cemetery,  and for November 2nd, we have All Soul's Day which means remembering the souls of the dead people. We have to light up some candles outside our house, in which I'm telling you is really freaky. It's dark everywhere in my neighborhood and you'll just see lighted candles.

For Mexicans,  November 1st is for honoring dead children and infants, whereas for dead adults, they are honored every November 2nd. Dia de los Muertos or Day of the Dead is a festival that is celebrated for a month and is believed to be dedicated for what they call as "Lady of the Dead" called "Catrina".

People at the festival were seen wearing skull painted faces, happily having a parade on the street. Others are decorating the tomb of their loved ones.

 

 

 

My favorite part of their culture is the Calavera de Azucar, or Sugar Skulls.

These are sweets that can be served as treats, and takes a lot of time to make. 

Sugar skulls represent a departed soul. The dead person's name should be written on the forehead and was placed on the home "ofrenda" or gravestone to honor the return of a particular spirit. Sugar skull art reflects the folk art style of big happy smiles, colorful icing and sparkly tin and glittery adornments. 

I ain't no Mexican but I really want to be a part of this festival. It looks really fun and I will surely enjoy everything that I might see and do there. I'm pretty sure I'll join them and paint my face!!

There's a strong resemblance and similarities between Philippines and Mexico, so I might feel really welcome though it's a foreign country. Not only that we are colonized by Spaniards hundred of years ago, but modern Filipinos use a few Spanish vocabulary as a part of our language. We do have our holy week too, and we celebrate Viernes Santo just like what Mexicans do.

My love for Sugar Skulls have definitely grown. I love Rockabilly, Psychobilly and Horrorbilly and now they are often associated with Sugar Skulls and Pin Up. Now that I'll be opening my own Vanity Store I really would include a touch of it, with a different meaning and representation. Skulls and Sugar Skull describes me best and I'm so inlove with it 

that I don't really care whatever people might think, and I definitely want this concept as part of my future business.**another fact is that can't think of names that will possibly not turn out to be cheesy and corny like dolls, unicorns, rainbows, raindrops or something** I need to toughen up a little!!! Not too girly please!!

I also would like to have my photos taken like these. I'm seeing photographers doing cute and uber sexy photoshoots for their models which I really hate. If they will ask me again to strike a pose with my cute fresh concept doing childish stuffs and holding teddy bears or balloons then in my honest opinion that is beautiful but definitely too gay for me and never in a million years will happen.

I heard that Pixar will make a movie which itself is entitled as Dia de los Muertos!!!!!!

Skulls and Sugar skulls will be everywhere as characters. Americans have different belief towards death than Mexicans, that's why they decided to make a movie for it, 

and I heard the story will be about family, and family ties. 

There's no definite date yet but it is believed to be released 4 years from now.

Skulls are not Satanic or Demonic in nature. If a person adores them, it doesn't mean he or she is demonic too. It's how you see or perceive them. Skulls symbolize death and rebirth.

Most (?) of you have probably seen these looks already on my Facebook page, but I'm gonna be a bad person now and share these looks here in my blog, too. :P

Let's start with the Mass Effect inspired:

I used Sugarpill Velocity, Bulletproof, Flamepoint and Tako (and hint of Buttercupcake I guess) and Lime Crime Uniliners Quill & Lunar Sea.

Next was another gamer look, but of a "bit" older game, Pacman!

Then I was asked to do a batman look, so I went to Adam West's batman:

120 color palette & gold glitter.

Then I went all Nolan and a did more serious re-make of batman:
