Instagram is the biggest resource to discover new styles, techniques, trends. I love trying them, both to challenge myself and improve my skills.
Today's look features the bubble/circles 'technique', were circles are usually obtained by using straws or pen caps. I used the latter, two different pen caps for the bigger circles, but I preferred to hand-draw the smaller one and the dots... Way easier that search the house for smaller caps XDDD I want to try this technique again, I want to try and hand-draw all the circles - both smaller and bigger ones. I mean, if I could draw the smallest ones I might able to draw the bigger ones too! (Challenge with myself accepted XD)

I wasn't sure whether these could be taken as just circles or maybe even bubble... They kind of felt like bubbles underwater to me, probably because of the blue shades in the background. Overall they reminded me of one of the most famous lines from "Under the Sea":
So I decided to name this look after that line and this beloved song of mine ♥
We got no troubles
Life is the bubbles
Under the Sea!
Although it might look complicated, it's overall a quite easy look to replicate - bubbles included.
So first of all I primed my lids; after that, I started off by creating the blue shape: I used Boo Berry eyeshadow by Makeup Geek Cosmetics as main colour, applying it all over the crease, outer corner and lower lid. Using a big blending brush (224 by MAC Cosmetics) I blended it in order to achieve a soft C shaped blending. To add depth into the crease, the end of the upper lid an on the lower lid I used Baltic eyeshadow by NABLA Cosmetics, then I blended it with Boo Berry.
All over the upper lid I applied Clementine eyeshadow by NABLA (which is so orange in the pan, but turns quite yellowish on me - and I don't mind it at all XD). I didn't use any foundation to carve the neat curved shape towards the inner corner, I just used a small lip brush to be more exact. Towards the outer corner I simply blended it with Baltic - not too much though, as I feared a weird colour could result by blending too much those two shades. On the inner corner I used Lazy Days, then I defined my lower lashline by using Nocturne; on the upper area, I used Fossil as transition shade and Antique White on my brow bone (all eyeshadows by NABLA).

At this point the look is almost done; before moving on to the bubbles, I applied eyeliner - to avoiding overdoing with the circles and leaving not enough space for the outer wing. I used, needless to say, KVD Tattoo Liner in Trooper.
Now comes the fun part aka the bubbles creation. As I previously said, I used two different pen caps for the bigger rings: I applied some Dazzle Liner in Klimt by NABLA Cosmetics on the caps, then gently pressed them on the crease and outer corner areas. It's quite an easy trick, just make sure you don't apply too much product on the caps!
The smaller circles and the dots felt trickier, as I don't own nor a dotter not a smaller pen cap... So I just hand-drew them, at it was way easier than I anticipated actually (although it takes a little extra time)! Next time I'll just hand-draw all of them.
When I was happy with the pattern, I was basically done. I completed the look by apply a black eyepencil on my waterline, falsies and mascara.
