On my facebook page I asked which of Illamasqua Halloween facechart looks I should create:

Most votes went to look #3 (it's ready and done, but I'll post this one first), but in second place came look #4:

I was asked to do to the look in pink color instead of blood red, and so I did :D
Here's how to do it:

Start with lighter foundation, if you want. I again mixed some white Grimas grease paint with my foundation:

Then the eyes.
Prime your lid and apply white shadow to your lid and highlight (ignore my ugly bushy brows :D):

Then use grey shadow to shape the lid. Best is to use both lighter and darker gray to create depth:

Next I used some glitter from Eye Kandy cosmetics (Marshmellow Sugar & Confetti) all over the lid:

Then I added some gray to my lower lashline also:

Then the colored brows.
You can use lip pencil, eyeliner, eyeshadow, what ever you wish to create red/pink brows. I used red and pink from MUFE Flash palette:

Then the winged black liner.
Again you can use pencil, gel liner or liquid liner to create a quite massive wing:

Next the white liner above the black one, good white liners are Illamasqua's Scribe and Lime Crime's Lunar Sea:

Then the tears.
There's easy way (non-3D) or a bit harder way (3D).

You can just draw then with pink/red pencil/liner/shadow/whatever, or you can use pink/red lipgloss to create them, or you can do them the extremely hard way like I did :D :

First you draw the tears with the way you prefer, then apply lash glue (or liquid latex/ 3D gel or similar) over the "tears". Let it dry so it's clear. You can also try to mix some color to glue/latex/gel, so you don't need to draw the tears first:

I decided to add some lipgloss (Illamasqua Petulant) over the dried glue to really enhance the effect (warning, lipgloss is quite messy, so you need to be careful that you don't smudge it):

Then I used the same lipgloss on my lips:

Finally I added a wig, and the look was done:

Another tutorial for halloween!

I've had quite a few requests to do a werewolf inspired look lately. 

Personally I think a real werewolf look looks something like this:

But I also know that the traditional werewolf look isn't a) easy to achieve (because it needs a lot of work and pre-made prosthetics etc)  and  b) it's not very... girly.

So I decided I'd try to make some kind of were-animal look, and here's the result:

I know it's really not a  wereWOLF, nor it's anything clearly recognizable, but maybe it works for someone's Halloween look! :D

Start with foundation (it can be few shades darker than your normal foundation, just make sure you also apply it to your neck and other parts that might be showing).
Then apply brown color to your forehead, under cheekbones and a hint of color also to the nose. (I used brown grease color from MUFE 12 color palette):

Boy, doesn't that look stupid!

Next take a brush and black color, and paint over the brown, leaving clear brush marks:

Not much better, still looks stupid :D

Then some more depth and texture by adding white to high points of face:

Then the bushy eyebrows!
I used my regular brow color (Beverly Hills Anastasia palette), and brown gel liner and thin brush:

Next eyes.
Since the makeup is basically regular smokey eye, I didn't take any photos of the making. Black shadow blended with brown.
Just make a clear outer V, and also line your lower lashline so that there's a "V" in your lower inner corner too:

Then the small fixes.
Add some shading to sides of the nose if you want, darken the tip of the nose if you want it to be more animalistic, blend the colors in the face together (I applied powder to blend them), and add falsies:

Finally some details.
Add thin brush strokes to darker areas on forehead and cheeks to make them look "furry", apply some white shadow to inner corners of the eyes, apply lipstick if you want:

To really finish the look, use (yellow/wolf) contact lenses (my eyes are photoshopped to look like I would have contacts), and  if you really want to go hardcore, get yourself a pair of fake fangs to go with the look.

And as you can see, you can wear either pale lips or dark lips, depending what kind of result you want. I think both work!

Woop, first Halloween tutorial!

I always get asked to do a tutorial for "sexy _____" (vampire, alien, witch, demon etc)

Personally I don't really think you should look particularly sexy for halloween, but here's something that should work, whether it's scary sexy nurse, witch, demon, or what ever.

 First you start with the skin. I made mine paler than usually by mixing some white grease paint with my foundation:

Creepy already ;D

Then the eyes.
After primer, apply black shadow to your lid:

Use blending brush and black/gray/purple/red color to blend the black:

 Then do the same for lower lashline:

Then for waterliner use the perfect halloween gel liner from MakeupGeek, called Poison:

For upper lashline I used black gel liner (Immortal from MakeupGeek)

Then I used a thin brush to create "veins/cracks/smudges" with the red and black gel liner:

Finally I added mascara and Faux Lashes Violet Noir false lashes to bring some OOMPH:

I think it's very versatile look, you can wear it with nude lips:

Or red lips:

You can add a wig and accessories and heavy brows:

Or my favourite, add some fake blood to the look, and you're SO ready for halloween party!

So, Halloween is approaching fast, and I thought this would be good time to share my "realistic zombie" -look I did for Finnish roleplay convention called Ropecon.
