So, yesterday night I found this site with thousands of cosplay pics from different conventions, and the one character that kept popping up was Poison Ivy. The outfits were usually very well put together, but usually the makeup was somehow dull.

So that gave me an inspiration to do my own version of Poison Ivy.

There are a few popular Poison Ivy styles; The Uma Thurman's Poison Ivy from the 90's film, the different versions from the comics, and the Batman: Arkham Asylum version. 

I like some parts of all of them, but I wanted to add my own twist to it. I didn't want to make just a sexy woman with red lips and hair and poison ivy leaves, but something a bit more sinister, but still kinda hot.

This is how it came out:

This is how I did it:

First I made a normal base to my face (primer, foundation), then I drew thin vein-like lines all over my face (mostly to temples and side of my face, not too much but still noticeable).

Then I applied basic lash glue (mine was Duo lash glue) over the green lines:

I let the glue to dry, and when it was dried enough, I applied some dark color around the glue to make more depth to the veins. Then I did the makeup itself:

I actually did super basic dark smokey eye, I used black base for lid (MAC Slick Black greasepaint stick), Sugarpill Bulletproof over Slick Black, then dark green from 120 palette, and blended the edges with Sugarrpill Acidberry and Illamasqua Vernau. 

I made the brow really arched, I used basic brown brow pencil and OCC Botanical liptar to create the kinda mossylike finish.

And finally Sugarpill Flutter false lashes:

For the lips I used concealer, and OCC Botanical liptar, kinda looking that it would be oozing from my mouth:

Then some highlighter and blush to make the skin look natural:

And finally a super-cheap red wig (it's some kind of cheap Jessica Rabbit wig from costumeshop) and some fake ivy leafs, and I also patted a hint of green color also to the hairline of the wig to make it look like the hair was also "infected" of the veins/moss:

And the look is done!

Time to get crazy with Sugarpill Heart Breaker!

First prime your lid with your favourite primer. I then used a small amount of NYX Jumbo pencil in Milk to lighten up my lid a bit:

Then I actually started drawing some scribbles to my lid with black liner, like this:

At this point I had some idea of what I was about to, so I made the lines thicker with NYT Jumbo pencil Black Bean:

Next I took Sugarpill's Mochi shadow, and applied it to the areas I left light :

Then I took Sugarpill Velocity, and applied it over the dark areas:

Some more Mochi, to whole lid area except the middle part:

To the middle are I added Sugarpill Tako:

Next step was to lighter up the light parts even more with NYX Jumbo pencil Milk:

Next Sugarpill 2am, I added to EVERYWHERE! No really, just to the brow, outer corner, and lower lashline:

..But it wasn't enough! I added 2am also to upper lashline, more to lower lashline, between the lines in outer corner.. :

Then I lined my eye with black liner:

Added false lashes to both upper (Sugarpill Daydreamer lashes ) and lower lashline:

Finally I added glitter. Lot's of it. (E.L.F. Stardust glitter liner)

Don't ask me where you could use this kind of makeup :D But may this serve as a sample of the new Sugarpill Heart Breaker palette. ;D

The Finnish importer of Make Up Factory asked me if I wanted to review and swatch some of Make Up Factory's products, of course I did!

And I'm glad I did, because I found an awesome foundation:

Oil Free Foundation:

I have to agree, really. It applies like a dream, it isn't too heavy, and it really lasts good-looking all day!

Next the things I like showing the most (NOT!!), face with no makeup and with primer and Make Up Factory Oil-Free Foundation (warning, my face is in horrible condition, probably because of the new medication I started):

As you can clearly see, it covers well without looking too cakey, applies evenly  and looks nice :D

And when we add highlighter (MAC Lightscapade MSF), blush and shading, the result is really stunning:

Eye Lift Corrector:

This one does pretty much what it promises: Primes, highlights and neutralizes. It's yellow-toned, doesn't apply quite as smoothly as lid primers usually, but makes the shadows pop and holds them in place pretty nicely. My lids aren't especially oily, but I could image that this might be bad choice if you have extreme oily lids.

Duo Eyeshadow #75: (Marine Blue / Light Blue)

This is my least favourite of the products I received. I usually don't wear blue shadows, so the color is wrong, and I'm not a huge fan of the texture either.

It is soft (which is good), but it's also very shimmery and the colors are really pale. I'm not sure if the pigmentation is a bit bad, or are the shadows meant to sheer.

Glitter Eyeshadow / Luxury Metallic Eyeshadow #64:

This one was better than the duo shadow. It has more pigment, and it's soft and it applies smoothly and evenly. Unfortunately the color is wrong for me again.

Liquid Eye liner #06 :

(Midnight Blues)

Next is the liquid liner in deep blue color. I actually first thought this was pure black, that's how deep blue it is. I've been lately using so much pencil-tipped eyeliners, that using this was actually almost like learning a new skill, but you can really make super-thin lines with this. 

It's quite long-lasting, though it's not waterproof nor even rain/tear proof. 

Look:

In this look I used the Eye Lift Corrector as base, Duo Eyeshadow on upper lid and glitter shadow on lower lashline, and line my eye with Midnight Blues liquid eyeliner.

Shimmer Lip Stick #11:

This is a glitter bomb. 

It's quite dry compared to many other lipsticks, but it holds awfully lot of glitter compared to other lipsticks too, so I guess that makes sense. It's surprisingly long-lasting, it applies really nicely, but it's pain to take off - if you have ever tried to remove glitter nailpolish from your nails, this is almost the same thing (No, you don't need nailpolish remover, but there's glitter EVERYWHERE after removal, it's like Edward Cullen exploded all over your lip area :D).

I do like the color, somehow (I guess because of the glitter) the color even looks duo-chromed.

  Lip color #218:

This is totally different from the previous glitter bomb. It's soft, moist (I hate that word! :D), applies like a dream, it has a dreamy scent... And it looks nice too. I myself prefer my lipsticks to be a bit more drier, this is almost glossy like.
