Videotutorial: Everyday look + My makeup collection video!

Hello!

I'm trying to be more comfortable with making videos, so here's two videos for you!

First we have a simple everyday look done with Makeup Geek shadows:

Watch the (silent) tutorial here:

No sound, because my kid was watching tv right next to me, and commenting everything, so I decided not to add sounds at all :P

And here's something you have requested for a long time, my makeup collection:

The containers holding all my loose shadows and pigments and samples are from store called Clas Ohlsson, and the black drawers are from Ikea, drawers are called 'Helmer'. Mine are OLD (10 years or older I guess, my husband has bought them before we even met), so some of the drawers don't even open anymore. :P But otherwise they are great! And the last drawer-thingie is from recycle center, so I can't really tell anything about it :/

Singapore ~ Malaysia Beauty Haven

I've been to Singapore and Malaysia late of last year, and found amazing cosmetics from different stores, both big and small. Singapore is such a beautiful country. Everything that I want and need in my life's in there. Convenience, clean and safe surroundings.. cosmetics stores that I love, insane fashion that I want, don't forget the crazy climate.

Whereas Malaysia and Philippines are so much alike when it comes to the climate and commercial places.

Though mostly Chinese, Malays and Indians reside in SG, they are so K-popped in everything. Most Korean cosmetics are admired by beautiful Singaporean women.
Everytime I ride the MRT I see busy gals from work, wearing their fashionable outfit and outrageous makeup look. Most Singaporean-Chinese gals have their hair dyed from medium to dark blonde, like a Himegyaru. Strong eyeliners and thick false eyelashes.. so falsies were everywhere. Eyes were glittery, some were smokey. Pale nude lips. Skirts, killer heels and a Louis Vuitton speedy bag, or Neverfull bag. For beautiful Indian women, they wear smokey eye makeups, contoured cheeks, darker lip shades.

The pretty Lioele Cosmetics Beauty Assistant testing the Lioele 3d powder and mosaic blush on my face. She couldn't speak English well so she talked to me in Chinese the whole time, but she nods to every question I ask her. She's really really pretty in person!! Unfortunately I didn't buy any from the store .

Most drugstores carry Korean cosmetics like Peripera, Lioele, Clio. There's Etude House, The Face Shop, Nature's Republic. For Japanese makeups there's Candy Doll and Dollywink.

Also there's Sally Girl, Canmake, Revlon, Za, SHeene, and so many brands I couldn't even remember! For luxurious ones there's Chanel, the beauty advisors were local, then Yves Saint Laurent where we met a Filipino beauty advisor who gave me a few tips and the contact number for L'Expertise where I can apply as a beauty advisor, like him.Unfortunately when Sephora gave me a call I'm already back in the Philippines.

Dewy look for foundations are in, they're even blessed with good skin, good genes and zero pores. Even Singaporean-Chinese men are so blessed.. and pretty..

My very realiable waterproof freezeproof shockproof dustproof digital camera blew off! now I coudn't do several FOTD's and makeup inspirations. If I have a chance I'm planning to do a look inspired by these sweet beautiful things I saw hanging when I went to Waterfront, Sentosa Island.

Here's a tip I discovered while I was in SG.. If you want to catch men's attention without doing anything. WEAR A BRIGHT RED LIPSTICK. I dunno, it works every freaking time!

I wonder where's Memeth and Louis, british-american guys we met in Sentosa
who offered us a few drinks but April felt scared we didn't entertain them.
They were nice though, and Louise reminds me of Brody Jenner, it's just his hair's curly.

How do you love Singapore lovelies? Any fashion and beauty finds in there?
Share it with me.

Tutorial: Transform and roll out!

My favorite robot in the world is Optimus Prime from Transformers. (Marvin from Hitchhiker's Guide to Galaxy comes second!)

For long I have wanted to do a look based on Optimus, I just haven't quite figured how to transform it to makeup (hehe. Transform the transformer.. :D )

Then finally it hit me. The flames of the "new Optimus"!

Few days ago I made the sketch for the look;

And here's how it turned out when I today had time to do it:

I look happy :S

One straight from phone:

Then the fun part!

TUTORIAL!

I started with priming my lid with Lime Crime Eyeshadow Helper (It comes in tube now, awesome!)

Then I outlined the flames with Makeup Geek's Electric gel liner (Using superthin brush from Joe Blasco):

Then I used Sugarpill Buttercupcake, Love+ and Flamepoint to color the non-blue flames:

Then Sugarpill Buttercupcake, Flamepoint and Tako to blend:

Then I used MUG Electric liner again to fill the blue flames:

And then Sugarpill Velocity over the Electric gel liner to seal it and to make it a bit more metallic:

Then some Electric and Velocity to lower lashline too...:

Red lip pencil to the brow, with some Lime Crime Fly Dragon Fly, and black gel liner to waterline:

Mascara...:

And finally quite neutral falsies (Red Cherry #13 I think):

And the look is done!

Diu-di-diu-di-diu!

Still Alive

I'm still here.

As you may have noticed, I haven't posted anything in several months, and I'm truly sorry that I disappeared without any explanation or anything.

I didn't feel like applying bright/ interesting makeup and as I didn't do anything cool/pretty, I didn't have anything to share or write about.

Most of my daily looks since November have been either neutrals or basic smokey eyes. Some days even just plain mascara, and nothing else. My inspiration and will to apply makeup was totally gone.
I used makeup because I had to, not because I wanted to.

On top of all this, my camera started to act weird. Pics were weirdly toned, out of focus, too bright/too dark (despite the settings). So if I happened to get an inspiration, I didn't get a decent photo of the look.

During January I had to get myself a new phone, and my new phone has a pretty good camera (not as good as D-SLR of course, but good for a phone camera), and I have started slowly doing and photographing my looks again:

So there's a light at the end of the tunnel at the moment, as for my big surprise I have also gotten good photos with my D-SLR again, so yay :)

If you're interested of what I've been doing lately (with makeup I mean), go check out my facebook fanpage or my instagram.
I did peeking Magaman look...

And bright Sugarpill look....

..and simple Illamasqua inspired Valentines look...

.. pop art look inspired by Makeup Geek's Weekly Challenge

... and glittery "anti-valentine's day" look.
